I Woke Up Like This: Celebrating My Quirks and Shine

Hi! Let’s talk about something truly amazing today: being unique!

Each one of us has encountered the feeling of being inferior some day or another, or that we don’t fit into a situation. Perhaps you prefer to draw creatures when everyone else is engaged in sports, or you wear odd pairs of shoes for whatever reason. You are special because of that, and you know what? Being unique is wonderful!

Everybody has unique abilities and views of the world. Your vision could enrich whatever you do with new ideas and creativity. Being unique requires courage, especially in an environment where everyone seems to be alike. However, remaining loyal to who you are displays trust and inner influence. Have you ever visualised a world wherein each person shares similar looks and behaviours? It sounds boring, doesn’t it? Our distinctiveness makes everything unique and captivating.

How then can we embrace our differences?

  • Be extraordinary: You should always be proud of who you are. Do whatever you love, dress up as per your preference, cook your favourite meals, read your favourite books, watch shows or movies as per your choice, and do everything that makes you happy.
  • Be kind: Always remember that the most important thing is to be the most “kind” person, whether big or small, even to the one who may not know or understand that uniqueness.
  • Discover your group of people: There are people out there who have interests and admire your distinct sense of style. Be in an environment of people who encourage trust in your capacity to be yourself.

Remember the fact that being unique is not something to cover up. It’s a message to shout from the rooftops (or, if you’re nervous, just from the view out of your room). Thus, embrace your uniqueness, accept your peculiarities, and fly your quirky flags!

Cheers to Celebrating YOU!
